Impressed is proud to present And Go Nowhere - by Australian dream pop band egoism.
"Music has been the only real constant to us in the past couple years. Some of the songs were ways of convincing us what to do to make things better, like moving out, quitting uni or our jobs to focus on music, gaining control of things we never had control of before, and not giving up."
The initial high school meeting between Scout Eastman (vocals, guitar, bass) Olive Rush (vocals, bass, guitar) morphed into writing music together and eventually led to their formation as a duo and the release of their singles Sorry (2018), Enemies (2019) and What Are We Doing (2019). They have since expanded to a trio - with Adam Holmes (drums) becoming a full time member in 2023.
Since their formation as the trio, Egoism have toured with The Rions, Middle Kids, Teenage Dads, played BIGSOUND, were nominated for both Song of the Year and Next Big Thing in the FBi SMAC awards, and became triple J Unearthed's 11th most played artist of the year. They are now back with their album and go nowhere.
