Celebrating 20 Years since On The Sun was first Released we are releasing it on Vinyl for the FIRST Time!

At a time when a wave of Wellington culture was sweeping across the entertainment world, The Black Seeds were among the leaders. Honing an energetic live set, the band quickly emerged as summer festival favourites. Elements of funk and soul were infused into the band’s established roots-reggae sound to produce the sophomore album On The Sun released in 2004.

With the Lord of the Rings trilogy lighting up the film world, The Black Seeds embodied the Capital’s cultural golden weather with a Triple Platinum-selling album, firing off three memorable singles that include the band’s biggest hit to date, the Quadruple-Platinum ‘So True’.
