The Story
We Out Here serves as a snapshot of London’s burgeoning jazz movement.The album comprises nine tracks recorded over three days in August 2017, capturing the collaborative spirit and genre-blending innovation of the scene. Notable contributions include Ezra Collective’s “Pure Shade” and Shabaka’s “Black Skin, Black Masks,” alongside performances by Maisha, Moses Boyd, Theon Cross, Nubya Garcia, Triforce, Joe Armon-Jones, and Kokoroko.
This orange vinyl edition follows previous limited releases, such as the yellow vinyl version limited to 250 copies. The new pressing continues to celebrate the album’s role in highlighting the innovative fusion of jazz with elements of Afrobeat, grime, and soul that characterises London’s contemporary soundscape.
